Μου αρέσει να ταξιδεύω αλλά μου αρέσει και να φωτογραφίζω.
 Δεν μπορώ να πω ότι είμαι ερασιτέχνης φωτογράφος, αλλά δεν είμαι ούτε επαγγελματίας φωτογράφος με την κλασσική έννοια του όρου.
 Φωτογραφίζω κυρίως όταν ταξιδεύω. Γεμίζω την τσάντα μου με φιλμ και αγκαλιά με την "αγαπημένη" μου, την Nikon FM2, φωτογραφίζω μέχρι να στερέψω, εγώ, τα φιλμ ή το ταξίδι...
 Πάντα σκέφτομαι πριν φωτογραφίσω, αυτό όχι μόνον με βοηθάει στην δουλειά αλλά ταυτόχρονα με ξεκουράζει.  Τα δυο τελευταία χρόνια, ανακάλυψα έναν επιπλέον τρόπο παρουσίασης του φωτογραφικού μου έργου, τα Ημερολόγια. Αχ, αυτά τα ημερολόγια…

 Το πρώτο ημερολόγιο του 2012, προέκυψε φωτογραφικά μέσα από ένα οδικό ταξίδι σ' όλη τη Δυτική Ακτή των Η.Π.Α, μια διαδρομή περίπου 1.700 χιλιόμετρα.
 Το δεύτερο ημερολόγιο του 2013, αποτέλεσε μια διαφορετική φωτογραφική προσπάθεια, όπου με την τεχνική της διπλό-έκθεσης αποτυπώθηκαν κτίρια και τοπία από την πόλη της Νέας Υόρκης.
 Τώρα, βρίσκομαι στην ευχάριστη θέση να παρουσιάσω το τρίτο κατά σειρά φωτογραφικό ημερολόγιο, αυτό του 2015. Αυτήν τη φορά η επιλογή των φωτογραφιών διαμορφώθηκε από ένα συνολικότερο σώμα δουλειάς, μέσα από ταξίδια μου σε όλη την Ελλάδα, τα οποία έγιναν τα τελευταία 5 χρόνια που ασχολούμαι με την αναλογική ασπρόμαυρη φωτογραφία.
Χαμένος για μέρες μέσα στα αρνητικά, κατέληξα στις 15  φωτογραφίες που απαρτίζουν το φετινό ημερολόγιο.

I love to travel but also I love to take pictures.

 I cannot say that I am an amateur photographer but I am neither a professional photographer -in the classical sense of the term.

 I shoot mostly when I travel. I fill my bag with films and holding my "love", a Nikon FM2, I photograph until I am dried up: myself, the films or the journey...

 I always think before I shoot a photograph; this not only helps me when I work but at the same time, for me it is refreshing.  During the last two years, I discovered another way of presenting my work, a project with Calendars. Ah, those calendars...

 The first calendar of the year 2012, arose photographically during a road trip along the West Coast of U.S.A; a drive around 1.700 kilometers.

 The second calendar of the year 2013, developed into a different photographic attempt; using the photographic technique of double-exposures; buildings and landscapes of New York  City were impressed photographically.

 Now, I am pleased to present the third series of these photographic calendars, the year of 2015. This time, the selection of the photographs was shaped through a retrospective body of work: from trips made ​​throughout the whole Greece, during the last five years I am working with analogue black and white photography.

 For days I was lost choosing photographs among the negatives. So, I ended up with 15 photographs that constitute this year's calendar.

Εκτός από το ημερολόγιο του 2015, μπορείτε να αποκτήσετε και μια φωτογραφία ως φωτογραφικό τύπωμα στο χέρι: Οι ασπρόμαυρες φωτογραφίες του Γρηγόρη Μητράκου εκτυπώνονται και στο χέρι, σε σκοτεινό θάλαμο, με την παραδοσιακή μέθοδο εκτύπωσης αναλογικών φωτογραφιών. Όλες οι φωτογραφίες που εμφανίζονται σ΄ αυτό το ημερολόγιο είναι διαθέσιμες και ως φωτογραφικό έργο εκτυπωμένο στο χέρι, με υπογραφή του φωτογράφου και ημερομηνία. Το μέγεθος της φωτογραφίας είναι 30x40εκ, σε φωτογραφικό χαρτί "Ilford RC 44m Perla", ενώ οι τελικές διαστάσεις τους είναι 40x50εκ. Τα έργα παραδίδονται με κορνίζα, η οποία αποτελείται από μεταλλικό κάδρο, πασπαρτού και τζάμι.

Apart from a calendar of 2015, you can also have a photograph as a photographic hand print: The black and white photographs of Grigoris Mitrakos can also subsist as hand prints, produced in the darkroom, with the traditional method of printing analogue photographs.All the photographs shown in this calendar are available in addition as a hand print, signed and dated by the photographer. The photograph's size is 30x40cm, at Ilford Multigrade RC 44m Perla Photographic Paper, with final dimensions of frame 40x50cm. The photographs are presented in a metal frame, passé partout paper and glass.
